the cottage company

The Cottage Company is an innovative residential development company based in Seattle, Washington that builds ‘pocket neighborhoods’ of detached cottages and houses. They offer a fresh choice for people seeking a high-quality, ‘not-so-big’ home and a renewed sense of community.

Since 1996, The Cottage Company has completed a number of award-winning projects in the Puget Sound area and has become recognized as a national leader in smart growth.

The cottages are designed by Ross Chapin Architects; "We are an award-winning firm known for designing wonderfully scaled and richly detailed buildings and gardens. We take joy in designing places for people that are both functional and beautiful. Our work shows that neighborhoods, buildings and outdoor spaces can be alive and vibrant, authentic and soulful. We strive to create places that nourish the individual, support positive family relationships, and foster a strong sense of community."
